To what degree is it the will of God to reveal His Self to those who are pressing in close and diligently seeking intimacy with Him?
LET'S RE-EXAMINE AND MEDITATE UPON THE TRUTHS GOD IS OPENING UP TO US FROM SCRIPTURE:
◊ He wants us to allow His Own Mind to be in us! (How much greater revelation could we possibly have than the very mind of Christ?)
BUT LETS LOOK AT WHAT THE CONTEXT IS OF THAT SCRIPTURE? FOLLOW ALONG WITH ME HERE, OR OPEN YOUR BIBLE TO…
2 Fulfill ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
◊ He wants to reveal fully His plans and will and knowledge and direction to those who are willing to come after it and after Him.
◊ He wants us to diligently seek Him. Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out]. (This verse may be repetition from Part One, but repetition is a good teacher.)
HE IS THE REWARDER AND HE IS THE REWARD. It is Him they were seeking. “Seek and you will find”. He is The Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. He rewards them by revealing Himself to them. He wants to show Himself to you. He wants you to be interested, and care, and come seeking him. He wants you to choose to believe, and simply speak and act ‘as if’ until you do, correcting the thoughts that come to you with The Word of God found in scripture. We are transformed by the renewing of our mind, and that is also the meaning of repentance.
It is not a natural thing, but a supernatural, or spiritual thing we are doing when we are choosing by faith, and in the face of and against the voices of all doubt and unbelief. It is the reality we choose to accept, even while those ungodly spirits tempt you to not choose. You will choose to believe instead of whatever has been the accepted understanding. Soon the mind is renewed; the fruit will follow the blossom which follows the bud.
You exercise your will toward that right thinking choice and ‘act as if’ with all your heart, and soon it will be your reality and you most likely will even have feelings to go with your faith, which is a choice, (but the feelings are not the goal, nor are they necessary. Feelings can be very fickle. They respond to the truth or a lie. Whatever thought seed is planted into the emotional realm, the feelings produce. We have been dealing with a mixture that is being purified by the great separation process because of the season we are in.)
◊ He wants us to draw near, come after Him, and pull on Him, and lift up our voices and our hearts, and call out and cry out to Him. He is looking for hunger to feed and life to celebrate. He wants to create in us a healthy and robust appetite and affection for the things above that are eternal and spiritual and supernatural. We need to cultivate and develop a godly desperation so we know we need our Savior in the ongoing matters and conditions of life. We need passion, and to pursue with action on our part… that is passion, not passivity, not resignation, not lethargy, not unbelief and doubt. That does not and will not get it. Those things do not qualify us to receive the revelations of the mysteries of God that are so precious and valuable and are strong meat for the mature. We can ask Him for the hunger and thirst, and seek and knock and finally allow it to come into us through the Spirit of The Mind, where we are being cleansed, circumcised and renewed. These new appetites will replace the old, cold, dead and carnal appetites and will engage our imagination and restore it with the unction to function for Kingdom use, as we give ourselves over to co-operate with our own transformation process.
◊ Once we have the equipment working, He wants us to learn and practice to become aggressive in the spirit, to begin to move all the giants (old familiar spirits) out of our promised land. Once we receive The Truth, those old things become powerless ghosts, and their memories and thoughts must also be removed. All this makes more space and room and prepares the Way of The Lord in us, and most of all for the knowledge and experience of knowing Him in the power of His Resurrection. (Isaiah 26:13-14 O Lord, our God, other masters besides You have ruled over us, but we will acknowledge and mention Your name only. 14 They [the former tyrant masters] are dead, they shall not live and reappear; they are powerless ghosts, they shall not rise and come back. Therefore You have visited and made an end of them and caused every memory of them [every trace of their supremacy] to perish. AMP
◊ He wants us to dig in, bump into and ask a million questions, enjoy the process like a fantastic game The Father is playing with His son. It is a game full of mysteries and riddles to solve and puzzles and secrets. The rewards are blow away, and He wants us to be willing to work to discover and uncover and know His Ways and Truths and to find the marvel and awe that is in His Revelations of Himself and to love His appearing.
◊ He wants to show Himself to those who choose to believe He is real enough they will be willing to go far beyond the surface, and the convenient, and the available, and go after that which is deep and out of reach. And He will make the intangible available to them if they will come into relationship, trusting, yielding, and begin to ask and seek and knock.
1 Cornthians 2:7-3:1
7 But rather what we are setting forth is a wisdom of God once hidden [from the human understanding] and now revealed to us by God--[that wisdom] which God devised and decreed before the ages for our glorification [to lift us into the glory of His presence].
(Rom 8:29-30 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. KJV)
Back to 1 Cor.2:8 ….None of the rulers of this age or world perceived and recognized and understood this, for if they had, they would never have crucified the Lord of glory.
9 But, on the contrary, as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed]. [Isa 64:4; 65:17.]
10 Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit, for the [Holy] Spirit searches diligently, exploring and examining everything, even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God [the divine counsels and things hidden and beyond man's scrutiny].
11 For what person perceives (knows and understands) what passes through a man's thoughts except the man's own spirit within him? Just so no one discerns (comes to know and comprehend) the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have not received the spirit [that belongs to] the world, but the [Holy] Spirit Who is from God, [given to us] that we might realize and comprehend and appreciate the gifts [of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly] bestowed on us by God.
13 And we are setting these truths forth in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the [Holy] Spirit, combining and interpreting spiritual truths with spiritual language [to those who possess the Holy Spirit].
14 But the natural, nonspiritual man does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the gifts and teachings and revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless nonsense) to him; and he is incapable of knowing them [of progressively recognizing, understanding, and becoming better acquainted with them] because they are spiritually discerned and estimated and appreciated.
15 But the spiritual man tries all things [he examines, investigates, inquires into, questions, and discerns all things], yet is himself to be put on trial and judged by no one [he can read the meaning of everything, but no one can properly discern or appraise or get an insight into him].
16 For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart. [Isaiah 40:13.]
NOW THAT WAS ABOUT WHO COULD AND DID RECEIVE AND HAD THE MIND OF CHRIST, BUT LISTEN TO THIS ABOUT WHO COULD NOT RECEIVE THESE REVELATIONS AND WHY NOT: LET US READ ON :
HOWEVER , BRETHREN , I could not talk to you as to spiritual [men ], but as to nonspiritual [men of the flesh, in whom the carnal nature predominates], as to mere infants [in the new life] in Christ [unable to talk yet!
2 I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not yet strong enough [to be ready for it]; but even yet you are not strong enough [to be ready for it],
3 For you are still [unspiritual, having the nature] of the flesh [under the control of ordinary impulses]. For as long as [there are] envying and jealousy and wrangling and factions among you, are you not unspiritual and of the flesh, behaving yourselves after a human standard and like mere (unchanged) men? AMP
AGAIN, WHO DOES RECEIVE FROM GOD
◊ There are those who will press in through the crowd, like the woman with the issue of blood, to get whatever she can get from Him, if only to touch the hem of His garment. He is very aware of them. He is aware when their faith and desperation for Him draws the very virtue right out of Him. There is the Samaritan who would fight to get the crumbs from under the table. There was Zachius who made the effort to climb the tree and cry out to him. There was the good thief whose last moments were full of the promise of Paradise.
◊ There are those who will create a priority space, and time: an appointment to fellowship Him and spend time with Him every day, like they feed their body regular and ongoing meals… simply to live. They will take authority over their own soul and body and their own time and space and they will bring their selves to get alone and be still before Him, perhaps and importantly, to simply sit in His presence and ‘be still and know that He is God.’ (psalms 46:10
There are those who practice living out of His Presence.
They consciously and unconsciously acknowledge Him. They meditate on the reality that they are available at all times, wherever they are for His Presence. He is always in them and with them, and they are comfortable being instant in season to yield over to His Presence, to allow Him to use their voice box to speak His wisdom, His prophetic voice.
They are not religious or obnoxious, but they are in tune, for Christ’s sake, ready to pray at the drop of a hat, directing their conversation vertically as well as horizontally, because they are practicing abiding in an on-going fellowship with Him at a conscious level.
There are those who would not even know who they are anymore, apart from Him. There are those who will set their minds and hearts on Him all the while they work and drive and dream and play. There are those who can’t function unless they daily shut down and tune in; meditate on his word, or pray and journal, or spend time in tongues.
Some are so deep into His word that they can’t bring themselves to depart from the rich, deep and new things they find revealed in the same old repetitious phrases and scriptures and chapters and books and topics… over and over and over. They go deeper and deeper, and just can’t leave it alone, because they love it and keep drawing out more and more and more rich and satisfying revelation from the same well.
By use of exercising their spiritual ear, they develop an appetite and set it on things above. (Col 3:1-3 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. )NKJV
Those who have truly ‘tasted of God to see that He is good’ become addicted, in the sense that they become dependent on these heights and depths of richness they have found in God. They don’t have to show it off, or compete with anyone else, they just need to hear it for themselves, and when they tap into a vein that is so rich and full and sweet and good, they are compelled for Love’s sake to share it. They have learned to love to dig it out, and become as a Berean and search the scriptures to see if these things are so. (Acts 17:11-12 11 These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. NKJV)
These are they who will follow the leading of the spirit from one verse to another to another until a whole new grasp and understanding and level has been formed and confirmed, that indeed proves that what He has for those who love Him is increasingly greater than our capacity to think or imagine, and a new depth and freshness of their former understanding of the same message and revelation has been formed and revealed to them. They love his word. He is The Word. They love Him.
It is a sacred secret and a mystery experienced for those who have learned to go in and mine out revelation knowledge from The Word of God, or through prayer, or out of stillness with Him. It is all fellowship with Him that requires a time investment. It means that one must lay down everything else in their life and focus only on Him. ‘Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.” (Matt 6:33-34 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. NKJV)
Some are unable to enter in to these things, because they aren’t willing to die to all the other stuff that take up their time, attention and energy. Other things all have their places, but the problem is one of priority. For the PRIORITY POSITION, there is lots of competition. The soul is worth winning. The truth is that we must neglect many paths in order to choose only this one for our priority. There is a death to the old and the other, as our life energy is yielded over to behold The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness. Then all these other things can be added to us, when our priorities are in order. (Matt 6:33- But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.) NKJV
He is the Revealer of His Own Word and we need to believe that we can receive.
We need to learn to love The Word and find fellowship with others who will go to the depths with us and share the adventure of navigating the heights and the depths. Our own experience should be provoking others to jealousy so that they might also become willing to invest their time and energy to come after God… to come and taste and see how good God is.
There are those who will hear these words today and who will wake up and realize that these things are available to WHO-SO-EVER-WILL…
Rev 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. KJV that they may also learn to develop an ear to hear and who will get understanding…
God has admonished us to get wisdom and understanding. THE TRUTH is that He wants to reveal everything to us fully. He wants to show and tell us EVERYTHING!
